''I recently worked with Aster during the run of MAST Mayflower Studios' production of Wind in the Willows, on which I was wardrobe supervisor and she was the lead makeup artist. Aster, and by extension the rest of her team, had the responsibility of facilitating and overseeing the hair and makeup of 60 young people for the duration of the performance. Despite this being no small feat, Aster was calm, organised, and enthusiastic throughout. Her attention to detail and intuition when it came to the designs themselves was brilliant, and she was completely forthcoming with ideas and suggestions that complimented and worked in tandem with the costume designs.

During the run there were a few challenges that needed to be overcome, and I was really impressed with Aster's ability to rise to each one with unwavering confidence. A mission critical factor of the job was the time critical nature of working in theatre and live performance. The window to get the cast seen to before each performance was very tight, but Aster was proactive in making a list of priorities, creating a schedule and delegating the rest of her team effectively.
