Idiots Anonymous is an independent film project on which I worked as Makeup Department Head, leading the planning, design, and organisational aspects of the makeup department from early development through production.

My role began in pre-production, where I was involved in creative planning meetings, discussions around character and tone, and the development of the overall makeup direction for the film. I produced detailed face charts and design plans to ensure clarity, continuity, and consistency across characters, working closely with the wider creative team to align makeup with the narrative and visual style of the project.

Although I was scheduled to be present on set for makeup application, I was unexpectedly taken out of physical production due to emergency surgery. Despite this, I remained actively involved in the project remotely. From my hospital bed, I continued to support the makeup department by finalising face charts, answering calls, problem-solving design questions, and advising my assistant, who stepped in to carry out on-set application under my direction.

This experience demonstrates a high level of departmental responsibility, adaptability, and leadership, as well as a strong commitment to the production under challenging circumstances. Idiots Anonymous reflects my ability to manage a makeup department beyond hands-on application alone, encompassing planning, communication, design oversight, and continuity, even when direct on-set presence was not possible.
