Pidgeon

This conceptual shoot reimagined the pigeon — an often overlooked and unfairly maligned animal — as a symbol of resilience and quiet beauty. Under the creative direction of Briony Foster, the project aimed to highlight the historical importance of pigeons to humanity and challenge the negative perceptions that now surround them.

I created a makeup look that captured the iridescent tones and soft textures of pigeon feathers, focusing on pearlescent highlights, grey undertones, and sculpted facial features that echoed the bird’s gentle strength. The goal was to elevate a creature commonly seen as a pest into something worthy of reverence, aligning with the project’s deeper message of respect and rediscovery.
